Dhola-Sadia Bridge, popularly known as “Bhupen Hazarika Setu”, is India’s longest bridge connecting easternmost region of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. A few days back, PM Narendra Modi inaugurated this connecting giant.
After repeated rejection of this statement by the Indian government, China claims Arunachal Pradesh as South Tibet. According to the Indian government, the border state is an integrated part of India.
Dr Bhupen Hazarika Setu, 9.2 km in length reduces a distance of 165 km and approximately 5 hours between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
This bridge will ensure the fleet movement of Indian army between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Which will be a booster for Indian army to fight against China. This is certainly quite the opposite of what China wants.
So, this is what the problem of China is with our lovely Bhupen Hazarika Setu.
